A Very Gilmore Mother’s Day

It’s almost that time of year again: Mother’s Day! This year it falls on Sunday, May 8th. Haven’t gotten dear mom a gift yet? Did you grow up watching Gilmore Girls with her? Or maybe you feel like the relationship between Lorelai and Rory is a great reflection of your own relationship with your mom?

What a better way to celebrate your mom than giving a gift that features your favorite mother-daughter duo, Lorelai and Rory! Below you’ll find some of my favorites. Be sure to comment with your favorite Gilmore gifts!

Amy, the founder of Finding Stars Hollow, created some really amazing artwork that any Gilmore fan would love. I know how much I love the Luke’s Diner poster I got for my birthday this year!

What mom doesn’t want a mug that reminds her she did as great a job (if not better) as Lorelai Gilmore? Find this mug and many others on the PickMeCups Etsy page.

Or maybe your mom doesn’t yet have all the Gilmore Girls DVDs? Even if she has Netflix, there are some decent bonus features on this box set including a making-of season 1 and deleted scenes. Get Season 1 on Amazon (with Prime shipping, it should arrive in time for Mother’s Day!)

Or, if mom already has all the seasons of the show on DVD, I bet the only officially-released soundtrack is missing from her collection. You’re in luck, because you can buy it on Amazon as well, with the same fantastic option of Prime shipping!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the grandmothers, mothers, and women who act as moms out there, you have a tough job and we love you for all your generosity, support and love throughout the years. May those who appreciate you become better at expressing their gratitude with each passing day.
