Today’s Guest: ShiSho
ShiSho is a sister act. They’ve been a band for 11 years, and neither of them is yet out of the teen years. This is Sydnie’s second appearance on Gilmore Girls Soundtrack—she also appeared on Episode 102: First Day.
Here’s the song ShiSho wrote about the homecoming experience Sydnie recalls in this episode “Interactive Theater Art Piece”:
ShiSho is pictured holding my copy of Instrument by Fugazi (1999; 2009 Re-issue, Dischord Records).
Spinning in Stars Hollow
This week I’ve added 3 songs to the season 1 Spinning In Stars Hollow playlist:
- “No Surprise” by Fugazi | Purchase music from Fugazi
- Recommended for those who enjoy the more classic Christmas tunes, such as the Tony Bennett fans. I know this song is a favorite to many folks, as far as Christmas memories go.
- PLEASE NOTE: This is not from the album ShiSho is holding — I do recommend this album, however: it features demo versions of songs from their studio albums, including six from 1998’s End Hits (No Surpirse does not make an appearance).
- “Some Velvet Morning” by Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazlewood | Buy music from Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazlewood
- Recommended for those who enjoy Claudine Longet.
- “Piano Fire” by Sparklehorse | Buy music from Sparklehorse
- For fans of Grandaddy.
Please, if you like what you hear, support these artists and buy their music.
The Gilmore Girls Soundtrack theme music was provided by Scott Holmes. A big, big thanks to Scott for sharing his great talent.
No Surpirse does not make an appearance). Surprise!
